Hi
I've recently started to lose hair from my eyebrows & also my eye lashes.
My GP has no idea why but suggested it might be alopecia.

I have weird sensations in my eyebrow eye throughout the day:
itching,
caustic buzzing that can last up to 3 mins
stinging
hair twitching
hot pin pricks that come in waves or as single on pricks ranging from all over scalp and ears, down side of face and over eyebrows.
crawling type feeling in the eyebrow hairs

after the caustic buzz sensations i find 1 or 2 loose eyebrow hairs hanging off eachtime.

When I wipe my eyebrows loose a few at a time.

I has also developed blepheritis which wasnt painful for the first 2 months but now really hurts :(
GP says theres nothing to see on me but gave me some dandruff shampoo to possibly treat seb derm but I dont have flakey skin.

Does this sound like any kind of alopecia?

Thank you for any help & advice
Elmo x

Hello Elmo.
I personally, haven't experienced the feelings you are feeling, this does of course not mean it could be alopecia! Are these sensations something you have felt before you started experiencing the hair loss? My eyebrows are falling out at the moment too! Im trying to find ways to slow it down or stop it, the best things I have found for me (it differs for every person) is acupuncture and applying ginger to the area. Because the follicles holding your eyebrows aren't as strong as the follicles on your head, I would try to not touch them as much as possible.
If I find anything to help you out, I will let you know :)
I wish you the best of luck,
Jack
