Hi
My husband has had AU for many years now, he is totally bald and has been since long before I even met him. We now have 3 children and I am wondering if it's likely that they'll inherit this? When I've looked it up, I only can find very vague information. I was hoping to hear more personal experiences of it perhaps running in the family? There is no record of anyone on my side of the family with any form of alopecia.
Thanks in advance

I had AU and my hair has grown back, although it seems i am loosing is again, however, both my mam and aunt had AA when they was in their late teens to early twenties? But i had AU, did your husband become really stressed before it occured? It seems to be a running thing within my family with the women that something stressful happens and we lose hair?

I am the fourth generation to have Alopecia. Everyone else had it for a stage or two on their lives but I have been AU since I was 4 (37 years now)
